Tech Terminals

Wormhole nexi provide the vital link between the former colonial words of the 2nd and 3rd Exodus, and the core systems. To date, there are 21 wormhole networks that span the colonized systems. Nexus points, or terminals, tend to be areas of immense traffic and profit. The stellar systems in control of the 113 charted terminal-nodes are among the richest and most profitable in the known systems. The ULP has control of 9 such networks, whereas the Antarean Empire has only 5. Rest are divided or under civilian control. Wormholes are controlled by regulatory gates, which monitor and limit the amount of tonnage displacement as well as traffic that passes through the terminal. Tolls levied here are some of the most lucrative to be found anywhere.

Of note, not one but two new termini were recently established in the Orion's Head Nebula, a system at the apex of a formation of stars resembling the Orion constellation. These terminals effectively joined the already lucrative Thriacia and Resir wormhole networks and also lie at a focal point along the Orion's Arm trade-lane that runs between the two super-powers.
