The Counter-Missile is a specially equipped missile created for the sole purpose of intercepting and prematurely exploding enemy mines, missiles, and torpedoes. Each missile consists of: An extremely high quality tracking computer in the over-sized nose that is used for tracking and intercepting its target. This computer also broadcasts an ECM signal in order to try and get enemy missiles to target them. A mid-yield explosive core that can explode within five yards of its target missile and cause it to prematurely explode. Finally, the most important part of the missile is it's specially designed Volatile Chemical Sequencer Rocket (VCSR) which uses a special chemical mix that gets used up extremely fast but allows the missile to reach extremely high speeds by using a series of controlled release explosions, thus allowing it to catch up or intercept enemy missiles far away from the ship. The explosive charge is too small to actually effect any ships or fighters. Often, in battle, a commander will launch his counter missiles during the first torpedo volley of a battle in the hope that he will be able to take down his enemies torpedoes far before they reach his ship, or, if he's lucky, while they are still at a point where their expositions will harm the enemies forces.
