Tech Chaingun

Standard rapid firing mass-driver capable of utilizing solid or tetryon charged explosive ammunition. It is an inexpensive and easy weapon to field and can usually be found on strike craft, small vessels, and ground vehicles. It comes in both fixed and turreted forms of varying size. It is relatively ineffective against Capital Ship armor but can easily rip through exposed components. As a kinetic weapon, it is not affected by particle shields and is often used by fighters to intercept incoming torpedoes.
