The fusion beam is likely the most powerfull shipborne weapon systems known. Only able to be powered by capital class fusion reactors.
A steady concentrated beam of super charged plasma particles kept in stasis via a strong projected electro-magnetic containment field. The weapons are slow to fire and slow to reach their target and have a long recycling time, due to the length of time it takes to regenerate and refill the Plasma Projector.
