This is a single shot railgun for the elimination of heavily armoured threats, and is shoulder mounted. Its uses the specialised 80mm `RID class ammunition <Ammunition_ULA_RID>`_. The recoil from this weapon is not the hard smack felt from most weapons, but rather a rising pressure, like a large wave is lifting one back.

The Falken RID is a shoulder-mounted railgun that is deployed by infantry units in the ULA. Upscaled versions of this weapon - joint-developed between the ULP and Falken - are also employed across numerous USN vessels and ULA vehicles. The R&D contract almost pushed Falken (primarily thanks to ULP oversight) to bankruptcy prior to its production build's deployment.

It uses the specialised 40mm RID class ammunition to defeat hard-armored targets. The RID also employs a computerized method for target acquisition to maximize damage to hard targets by precalculating when to detonate the special fuse, but can still use a proximity-based fuse via dumbfire if needed. The felt recoil is largely managed by the telescoping rails and their advanced mechanisms that dissipate the recoil.

The capacitors must be charged completely prior to firing.
