Anubis is the iconic modern AE battleship
The Anubis battleship is a state of the art ship developed by the Antarean navy. The absolute pride of the navy, not only is it advanced and powerful, it's also reliable and plentiful. With its oversized plasma guns and torpedo bays it is a true ship killer, even ship several sizes larger than itself. Since the AISN came up with a much improved plasma technology they've been itching to display it on a ship, with a big anti-capital ship gap a need for a battleship to wield the biggest plasma guns possible arose.
Although the Anubis barely has anything worth mentioning in the anti-fighter department, the large fighter bays can deploy an impressive fighter screen to deal with them.
