This system is a cornerstone of the USN’s “`Treadway Line <Treadway_Line.html>`_”, a linked series of heavily fortified worlds that once formed the border with old Antarean Empire. Besides being a primary naval base of operations for sorties into the tumultuous 1st and `2nd Districts <2nd_District.html>`_, The defenses at Norway also protect an important wormhole terminus to the `Thriacia Wormhole Network <Thriacia_Wormhole_Network.html>`_ , which links many of the central worlds of the League to one another. Imperial tacticians believe that taking Norway would be the key to expanding AISN operations deeper into the heart of the League.
Planets
Spartacus
The primary planet in the Norway System, it is non-habitable. However, due to ground and orbital defensive League equipment it is essential to the Norway system's defense.
Spartacus Son
The larger moon orbiting Spartacus Alpha, used for a number of Defensive Emplacements by the League.
Spartacus Daughter
The smaller moon orbiting Spartacus, used for a number of Defensive Emplacements by the League.
Norway Beta
A small, moonless, planet in the Norway System, it is non-habitable, however essential defensive League equipment has been placed there.
Sarvius
A large planet in the Norway System, it has been terraformed to be habitable, and is one of the essential troop distribution centers on the `Treadway Line <Treadway_Line.html>`_. There is heavy defensive League equipment here. A large defense platform, known as `Cornerstone <Cornerstone.html>`_, acts as this planet's moon. Sarvius is tidally locked with the sun, which means that one side is perpetually bathed in sunlight, the other in a frozen night. There is a narrow, easily defensible, band on the equator which is (due to terraforming) the perfect environment for human life.
Partike
A small, quick-orbiting, planet in the Norway System, it is non-habitable, however essential defensive League equipment has been placed there. This planet has the added bonus of cover more space then most of the others due to its uneven elliptical.
Obs
The aptly named Obs is a small planet on a elliptical that places it in the middle of the system most of the time. The planet is not habitable. However, a manned observation station has been placed on the surface, only accessible via ship-to-station docking.
System Stations
This system has the normal compliment of `Treadway Defense Systems <Treadway_Defense_Systems.html>`_ Stations. However, it's Treadway Defense Station is replaced by the famous `Cornerstone <Cornerstone.html>`_ station.
Norway is enumerated as number "1" in the Treadway Defense line.

Surrounding the Norway System is a grouping of defensively reinforced systems known as the `Illuvian Triangle <Illuvian_Triangle.html>`_, a grouping of systems who's defenses were created to protect the Norway system and its entrance to the `Thriacia Wormhole Network <Thriacia_Wormhole_Network.html>`_.
