Drydoon – This system was a major point of contention during the Unification Wars. Though the `Battle of Drydoon <Battle_of_Drydoon.html>`_ is recognized as the turning point in the USN’s conflict with the old Antarean Empire, it should be noted that not one, but three separate battles took place in and around the system preceding the famous conflict. Though the system itself was relatively unimportant, Drydoon ‘s position near the heart-worlds of the Polaris Concordat made it incredibly important for the League to defend.
