technically the CIR is not ammunition, but rather the barrel for the GU34 gauss rifle. This barrel is needed since the GU34 uses up the magnetic coils in the barrel per shot. The barrel size and projectile have to match or it cant fire, so normally the designation for GU34 ammo is CIR- followed by the calibre. CIR is available from CIR-5mm to CIR-20mm, although the weapon can fire up to 25mm, those calibres are considered unsafe. Illegal CIR-25mm have nevertheless been popular amongst pirates and gun enthusiast.
