The CIR projectile, or coil-induced round, is a massive tungsten-core fin-stabilized projectile that is 12.5x75mm designed exclusively for use with the GU34 gauss rifle. Lower-quality knockoff rounds have been made by pirates and private enthusiasts alike but are still unable to fully replicate the quality of the Falken CIR5 12.5mm round produced by Falken itself or Falken's reputable licensees. Sometimes the fins on these knockoff rounds won't deploy, or will not correctly feed into the coil and shred the internals of the weapon, and may incur severe injury or even death to the operator.
