Also known as the Vox Dei quake ship. Javert class infiltration frigate is used for special missions and covert operations. Mostly operated by the MVD, painted black. Its strange shape is needed to become almost invisable to long range sensors.
The fact that the Javert is almost solely armed with ion cannons is certainly no accident, either the ship in question is shielded, the Javert easily burns away the shield, making the ship a sitting duck for others. Or the ship is not shielded, few ships can survive a full ion cannon barrage unshielded, especially since the Javert can so easily take its time to target all the sweet spots. Naturally Javerts have top of the line electronic warfare suites, not just to disable and confuse enemy ships but also to cover a Javert when going back into the darkness of space.
In the event a Javert is disabled or about to be captured, captains are ordered to self destruct. Javerts do not have any escape pods.
