Tech Laser

This is the standard low-power energy weapon. Focuses light through a series of easily positioned lenses to create a highly focused and precise laser light beam. Though low-powered they can push through particle shields due to their highly focused nature, however they do minimal damage except to unarmored components or vessels. Usually found in PDCs (Point Defense Clusters) and occasionally mounted on strike craft. Most PDCs are mounted in collected nodes of hard-focusing laser arrays supported by mass drivers or gatling railcannons.
