Ship Battleship AISN Osiris

Gunboat ship, not very large or strong but loaded with high-grade weapons. part of Marius'es new fleet. also features extensive electronic warfare suites.

After the first Antarean war it had become clear to both navies that electronic warfare is not to be underestimated, as such the Osiris employs the best and the newest in ECM and ECCM. Sometimes jokingly refered to as a flying brain, the Osiris can almost paralyze some of the lesser and older ships.

Because using effective electronic warfare means up close and personal, the Osiris class is fitted mainly with medium-range plasma cannons. Usefull for ship-to-ship and interceptor duties.

In small hunting packs this class is used as the vanguard, jumping in with high precision and taking away as much firepower as possible while the destroyer dish it out. In larger fleets they have a completely different role, hanging in the back to protect the heavy artillary from damage.
