Sol is the home system of the human race. Sol is a standard yellow main sequence dwarf star, and is orbited by (in order of closeness) Mercury, Venus, Earth (officially Terra), Mars, the inner asteroid belt and the dwarf planet Ceres, the gas giants Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt dwarf planets Pluto, Eris, Laeota, Corissica, Sedna, Orcus, Quaoar, and Varuna.
