Until recently Avex was more commonly known as a company who made their name developing magnetic accelerators for use in Space. Over the years they expanded their interests and began to assert their experience with Magnetic accelerators into other markets. First with Mining equipment and later entering into the cut throat business of Starship weapon systems.
Following their rapid expansion and success in with many lucrative Navy contracts the company decided to challenge the dominance of Salier in the field of atmospheric weaponry as well.
