Part of the next generation ships, the Sobek cruiser frame is based strongley on earlier designs instead of newer ones. Thus not sporting the spiking grav fins that are popular, the Sobek is designed for long range engagements and not turning speed. This gives the Sobek a very sleek look, and it is thought to have limited use as an in atmosphere ship, although not intended as such.

Almost every other ship has spinal ion cannons as ultimate in ship-to-ship seige weaponry, instead the Sobek offers 6 ultra velocity torpedo tubes at the nose for longer range. The standard version has 2 twin seige cannons for short range engagements.
