Ostensibly an arm of the USN, the ILSF is responsible for the protection of member-worlds and the policing of national borders within the ULP. With assets ranging from naval, to ground forces, to secret police, it is capable of dealing with a wide variety of security-related matters quickly and efficiently. The ILSF reports directly to the parliamentary cabinet and as a result wields an extraordinary amount of oversight power. Typically the ILSF’s three coordinators are chosen (by election) from among lower ranking senators and/or former military commanders. Power within the branch is divided between several different individuals, which ensure that too much influence is never collected in one office. The ILSF is the only organ of the League that has legal jurisdiction over matters of security between member worlds as well as the other branches of the armed forces.

Composition

The ILSF is composed of the following agencies, each headed up by an elected Grand Marshal:

Military Branch (MilSec)

Currently, headed up by Grand-Marshal `Saul Thurgood <Saul_Thurgood.html>`_ . This is the biggest branch.

The Inter-Planetary League Police Force (LPF)
---------------------------------------------

One of the larges branches. Its presence is known nation wide. They are great in number but disorganized and inefficient.

The Counter-Intelligence Bureau (CIB)
-------------------------------------

Spying and deception is the key. Using any and all method of extraction and planting of information, known methods, unknown methods and methods to horrible to describe.

League Security Agency (LSA)
----------------------------

Investigation Division (ID)
---------------------------

Currently headed up by Grand-Marshal Vikon Zhu. Its not too sure what its investigating or why. Or what Vikon Zhu is doing with his almost privet force.

League Parliamentary Mandates (LPM)
-----------------------------------

Composed of 12 Internal Mandates, 8 External Mandates and 3 Tech Mandates.

Storage and Access and Control Division (SACD)
----------------------------------------------

League Security Forces (LSF)
----------------------------

One of the largest branches. Currently headed up by Grand-Marshal Alexandar Drukav.

Embassy Security Force (ESF)
----------------------------

At first look it just looks like embassy guards. But this very small branch could be used as a to curtail leakage of sensitive information to and from the embassy.

Service Force (SF)

Political Service (PS)
----------------------

Used to ferry VIPs between core worlds and even across the border.

Special Properties Service (SPS)
--------------------------------

Transportation of precious commodities are never easy. To many lawlessness in the galaxy for it to go without sudden attacks. Attacks on convoys carrying platinum and medial supplies are all too common.

Research Protection Service (RPS)
---------------------------------

Used to protect researches from outside attacks. In some cases is used to exterminate the researches.

Infrastructure Security Force (ISF)

Responsible for protection of jump gates and refueling stations all around the galaxy.

Encryption Division (EncryD)
----------------------------
Specialises in computer technology and data transfer of League's secret documents.
