When the USN enters the system, they do so with 200 ships, compared to the Federations mere 76. When the USN fleet breached the parameter the Dawn Star directly engaged the enemy. During the battle a freak hit on the ship killed the captain, Marius, still under the cover of his false name, takes over the ship. As the battle continued to rage around them Commodore Renford Perry took his ship to the front of the combat and was lost. In addition five other command ships were lost. Seeing that unless someone took command all would be lost, Marius hailed the AF fleet and took command. He gathers the remaining arms to him, giving the appearance of retreat. The news services are already reporting a loss when Marius breaks out from behind the base with the remainder of the fleet and decimates the ULP in a surprise counter-attack, driving them out of the system.  In a massively coordinated and highly surprising event on the [[Category_History_of_the_Universe#The Crowning Day Massacre|Crowning Day of 980 AE]], Ulric unmasked himself to be Marius, the heir ans successor to the [[Nation_ASE_Antarean_Solar_Empire|Antarean Solar Empire]]. He then calls for a renewed Empire. After DNA testing and much celebrating on the part of the populace he is [[Fiction_Crowning_Day|crowned as the Emperor]] of the [[Nation_AE_Antarean_Star_Empire|(2nd) Antarean Empire]] on 981 AE. Taking a mere year to organize and mobilize his new Empire, a year later, on the 400th anniversary of the founding of the original ASE, Marius Lucan Andromedeus XVI declared [[Event_Second_Antarean_War|war]] on the United League of Planets.
