The design actually stems from a strike-craft class from the First Antarean War, long since surpassed in both size and power it underwent a redesign for use as a bomber in the Second Antarean War. Why such an ancient design is still so relevant speaks volumes both about it's agelessness as well as the ties Soltano has high up in the USN procurement descisions.
